Susan was a consummate team builder as well as team player. Susan has been the single most influential person outside of my veterinary professors at UC Davis that have greatly impacted the person I am today as a veterinarian, a colleague, a boss, a friend and a family member. Susan's passion for people and figuring out ways to put the people before or within the 'processes' we typically find in the work environment, has helped to improve the retention of our people and most importantly, the veterinarians that have a significantly challenging career.
